Fiona is a qualified and registered dietitian based in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga.
Fiona is a qualified and registered dietitian and a nutritionist based in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. She has more than 30 years’ experience, having worked at Tauranga Hospital for 11 years, and in private practice, since in 1998.
It was not just a love of food that determined Fiona’s career. She also has a passion for helping people and aims to give her clients clear and practical nutrition and diet advice.
Fiona is keen to help people have a better understanding of nutrition. She says many people who are confused about food – especially about what’s healthy and what’s not. Helping people make practical long term changes and better food choices is Food Solutions’ key mission.
Since 2011 Fiona has run an outpatient clinic at Community Mental Health, Tauranga Hospital. Here she sees clients with a range of issues including eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and problems with losing or gaining weight.

Fiona is married to a wonderful Irishman. They have two daughters, who are both young adults. When the girls were little, one would eat anything and everything, and the other was fussy and less willing to try new foods. This experience has helped Fiona understand the practicalities of managing family nutrition needs. Fiona enjoys walking on the beach, gardening and reading.
